We only have good things to say about the program. The program runs about 45 minutes per session which I think is long enough to get my child’s full attention. Also, through the many writing tips and writing practices from the program, she can write reasonably well. For writing homework, I am very thankful and appreciative of the written and video feedback provided by the teacher. Other than writing, my child is also exposed to the skills on how to tackle those components of a typical English paper, from Vocabulary questions to Comprehension. So far, my child has been doing well in her school work and tests without much of my supervision. I believe the teachers at Mrs Mogan Education have prepared her really well. Video playback of the lesson is also available for viewing. Also, because the lesson is virtual, we are able to save travelling time. We got to know Mrs. Mogan about two years ago, and I decided to send my children to her with the goal of improving their writing skills. However, she did far more than I could have hoped for, and I am truly grateful for how she has made my children enjoy learning the English language while preparing them for the PSLE. Her teaching motivates students to excel and builds confidence in their abilities. After just a few lessons, I asked my son how the lessons were going, and he told me that Mrs. Mogan is excellent because she explains things so clearly. Mrs. Mogan is an exceptional English tutor who is highly effective, with clear communication skills that make lessons engaging and easy to understand. She inspires her students by setting high expectations, providing a structured curriculum, and offering timely feedback and constructive guidance during parent meet-ups. Her fun and encouraging learning environment, complete with books and a playground, allows children to unwind during breaks. There are also plenty of opportunities for students to interact and practice their Oral skills during lessons. Under her guidance, my children have shown remarkable improvement in their English proficiency. As a parent, I deeply appreciate Mrs. Mogan’s time and effort in ensuring my children’s learning is well supported. Beyond academic improvement, Mrs. Mogan fosters a genuine love for the English language in her students. We’ve been so impressed with the progress our son has made in reading and writing under Mrs. Morgan’s guidance. He is 5, going on 6, and the level of care and attention that Mrs. Morgan has given to help him build confidence with his language skills has been remarkable. She has a patient and engaging teaching style that truly resonates with young learners, making lessons enjoyable and effective. I was looking for a tutor for my son, focusing mainly on writing, as he has difficulty forming sentences, as well as writing a story. I dropped a message, explaining my son, Arshan, difficulty and strengths. I was able to have zoom call with Mrs Mogan to discuss and know more about the program conducted. Arshan has been with Mrs Mogan’s virtual classes since Dec 2022. We have seen a huge learning curve for him, especially in writing stories. Lessons are engaging and structured. Strategies taught for writing are simple and explicit and students are given opportunity to practise the strategies taught. I like the feedback given ( video and writing) on the assignments. Mrs Mogan ( and Ms Charlotte) have been very motivating and understanding of the learning needs of my son, and we appreciate it alot.Lesson duration and pace is also just right for my him. Also, I like how we can approach Mrs Mogan should we have any concerns with our son’s learning and she has shared activities and resources that we can do to practise with him. I am glad I have found Mrs Mogan class! We hope the virtual class will continue as it has been quite helpful for us living away from Singapore yet still be able to be in touch with the SG curriculum! She incorporates outdoor learning for kinesthetic learners and is able to gauge a child’s threshold for learning. She gives them a break when required. Her knowledge and pedagogy is sound and my child has learnt many things from her and continue to do so. Thank you for being such a wonderful teacher. My son, back then at Primary 2 enjoyed her experiential holiday program at Pasir Ris. Subsequently due to the distance we signed up for her online classes. Fast forward to 2023, 2 of my children now attends her weekly zoom classes. They are excited for her classes because there are always story telling and her worksheets are not daunting. As a parent I find her way of teaching English the correct way as she sets the foundations for strong language skills. Her writing strategies are a winner and very easy to follow and use. I sent my daughter to Mrs Mogan to enliven her interest in reading and creative writing. I wanted a space for my daughter to explore ideas and to create stories on her own without the confines of writing for the examinations. It met my expectations and more. My daughter enjoyed the multisensory approach to learning where they get to play, read and interact in class. Learning was authentic as they would go out to the garden to explore ideas for writing. They even had some lessons outdoors! The programme is also structured to ensure that students had a strong foundation in creative writing. I noticed that my daughter was more confident in writing her own stories. Mrs Mogan and the teachers are also mindful of the learning needs and styles of the students. I appreciated the parent meetings where we would share strategies and feedback to better support the children. I felt that she cared for the students and made the effort to get to know them. When I sent my son to the centre as well, she was aware of his learning style which was different from my daughter. I loved how the teachers were open and understanding of the child's needs to support them in their learning. What stood out for me is how they would customise the experience in class and work with the parents to support the child's learning like how my son initially needed support in basic grammar and Mrs Mogan provided some resources for us to go through with him at home. Having a structured literacy curriculum that the teachers use for every lesson helps my child to be able to follow through the lessons and learn reading and spelling more effectively. My girl is slowly building her confidence to read more books by her own. Enrolling my daughter (P1 this year) to Mrs Mogan’s physical class has been an incredibly rewarding decision! The program strikes the perfect balance between fun and education, using well researched findings to structure the class so that my child is able to focus and learn at her best. The teachers are dedicated, compassionate, and provided frequent feedback on the child’s progress. Prior to this, I was concern that my daughter (late K2 then) was not able to read banners, signs, pamphlets and books. She was also struggling with her phonics. I am also not confident that I could guide my daughter to enjoy the language by myself. I saw a banner along drive 6 of Pasir Ris and reviewed the site, asked a few questions about costs and signed my daughter up. Now she reads the banners, pamphlets and books and laughs at their quirky contents! She has definitely improved and loves the new found ability- reading, comprehending and writing. Mrs Mogan’s SOR lessons are catered to the students’s learning needs, she paced her lessons well according to the child’s progress and keeps her classes small so she’s able to focus on all the students. The curriculum is also very structured and progressive for the children to learn. The little brain breaks in between are beneficial for the children too. Even though our main language is not English at home, my child is able to grasp the phonics concepts and blending rules easily with Mrs Mogan’s guidance and even the parent is able to learn the phonics rules and reinforce with the child at home as Mrs Mogan provides feedback to us after each lesson.
